How much does it cost to get gourmet coffee in other international countries? The reason why I ask is because I want to see if there is a huge difference between the coffee that is made and sold overseas in comparison to the coffee that we buy within our cafe shops and grocery stores. One of my friends told me that he was shocked when he observed how much gourmet coffee costs in the states. He said that in his own country, the coffee would not even cost 1/3rd of what we were paying in America. But to give you the inside scope, my friend comes from a poor third world country that has a pretty down economy. So this could be the primary reason why coffee in his country costs so much. But from what I hear from him, he also mentioned that gourmet coffee in the states do not taste as great as coffee in his country.
